TEAM OTTAWA Haiti - November 7 to 14, 2018

A key element of this trip, and indeed a basic principle of Team Broken Earth, is the importance of teaching and local interaction. We were able to meet residents from the local orthopaedic training program, in rounds and in the OR. 

The highlight, on the last day, was a shared case between Dr Mark Steeves and Dr Hippolyte, a Port-au-Prince orthopod who trained under some of the first TBE teams before becoming a fully-fledged orthopaedic surgeon himself.
